Narragansett Indian Health Center, Charlestown, RI

Caputo and Wick Ltd. worked with the Narragansett Indian Tribe and the SLAM Collaborative to design and permit a new tribal health center.  The Tribe's pre-existing Health Center was outdated and of insufficient size to provide a full complement of modern health and wellness services.  The new Center, just following completion, is shown in the drone-captured image above.  The facility and its landscaped grounds were carefully designed to fit with the contours of the terrain and to avoid adverse effects to site features of important Tribal significance.  Our firm conducted the grading, drainage, stormwater-management, wastewater, and utility designs for the project.  Additional services included topographic and special-features surveys, base mapping, survey layout, state and federal permitting for wetlands and NPDES compliance, and construction administration.
